I stayed in the Pacific Yew suite, built with handcrafted wood construction tucked away in a quiet wooded setting. Each morning I ate hot gourmet breakfasts prepared by Beth, who used fresh local ingredients in her cooking. I sat on my wrap-around balcony with a morning coffee, watching the trees from the elevated deck.
I walked on the heated tile floor of the Bicycle room after I parked my car in the driveway. The house featured a spacious communal kitchen where I brewed coffee each morning before heading out to the river path. I spent time on the patio during my stay, which remained peaceful throughout the weekend.

Wine on the garden patio
I enjoyed a free glass of wine while sitting on the landscaped grounds every evening. My breakfast arrived made-to-order each morning in the light-filled dining room, where I chose between savory and sweet dishes. I relaxed on the lawn chairs surrounded by garden trees after walking back from downtown.

Local beer on tap in the lobby
I bought local beer on tap from the hotel bar to drink at the breakfast area picnic tables after arriving late. My room featured glass tiles and bronze fixtures in the bath area, while I rested on a comfortable bed. I started each day with fresh-squeezed orange juice and eggs from the breakfast buffet included with my stay.

Fresh beans for the kitchen grinder
I brewed coffee using the fresh beans and the grinder found in the modern kitchen. My family and I used the washer and dryer for our clothes during our trip. We parked the car in the private driveway before attending a show at the Hult Center.
I walked along the tranquil path by the Willamette River which sits directly behind the hotel. My one-bedroom king suite featured a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, stovetop, and dishwasher. Breakfast between 6:30 and 9am included waffles and bacon. I also used the onsite gym before I drove to the concert at the Matt Knight Arena.
I decorated the home for the holidays, while we hung out in the spacious living room. We ate at Papa's Pizza and visited the nearby Valley River Mall during our stay.
I adjusted the temperature in my room on the lower level, while my son set his own heat control on the upper level. We kept snacks and water from the cute tray in the kitchen fridge. I used the utensils in the kitchen to eat, and I watched the 2025 Big Ten Track and Field Championships at Hayward Stadium after my arrival.
I appreciated the wall heater in the bathroom after my morning shower. I walked two blocks to the WOW Hall for a concert while staying here. My room also included a refrigerator with freezer and a microwave for storing and heating my food.

Grilling on the private patio
I used the grill on the patio to cook dinner after shopping at the Fred Meyer up the road. We sat on the screened front porch for morning coffee while listening to the quiet of the neighborhood. The kitchen table gave us plenty of space to set up puzzles and games. Since the hotel had a secure gate, I kept my bedroom sliding door open all night.
We slept under the ceiling fans in each bedroom of our two-bedroom unit during our stay. The host supplied the unit with snacks and breakfast items throughout our five nights. We cooked meals in the full kitchen while the host answered our questions about the television and wifi. Everything in the unit looked brand new.
